We want to be transparent with our customers about how data is handled on our n8n hosting platform. Currently, we do not perform weekly or daily backups of individual n8n instances. Instead, a snapshot of the entire server is taken once every week. This snapshot allows us to restore the system in the event of a major accident or hardware issue, but it is not a guarantee that individual workflows or specific customer data can be recovered.
Because our n8n hosting is still in a beta and development stage, backup services are limited and not part of the package at this time. Customers should understand that SNBD HOST does not provide any warranty for data recovery and cannot be held responsible for lost or corrupted workflows. If something happens to your instance, the weekly snapshot may help us restore the server to a previous state, but there is no certainty that your exact setup will be fully recoverable.
We strongly encourage all users to regularly export their workflows from within n8n and keep their own safe copies. This practice ensures that even if your instance experiences issues, you can quickly import your workflows again. Until a full backup solution is introduced, manual exports remain the most reliable way to protect your data.
That said, we are actively working to improve this area. Automated per-instance backups, scheduled exports, and encrypted restore options are currently under development. Once implemented, customers will have access to a more reliable system that allows them to back up and restore their workflows directly from the SNBD HOST panel. Our goal is to make the n8n hosting experience better and more dependable, and backups are an important part of that future roadmap.
