If you already own a domain with another registrar and want to manage it through SNBD HOST, you can transfer it to us in just a few simple steps. Transferring your domain gives you the benefit of having everythingāhosting, DNS, billing, and supportāmanaged in one place. Below is a step-by-step guide that explains the transfer process, including unlocking your domain, using the EPP/Auth code, and understanding the timeline.
Step 1: Unlock Your Domain at the Old Registrar #
Before a domain can be transferred, it must be unlocked at your current registrar. Log in to your domain providerās control panel, find the Domain Lock or Transfer Lock option, and turn it off. Some registrars also require you to disable WHOIS privacy for the transfer to go through.
Step 2: Get Your EPP/Auth Code #
Every domain has a unique EPP/Auth code (also called an authorization code). You need this code to verify the transfer. Request it from your old registrar, and they will usually send it to your registered email address. Keep this code safe, as it is required in the SNBD HOST transfer form.
Step 3: Start the Transfer at SNBD HOST #
Go to the SNBD HOST Client Portal and select Transfer in a Domain from the menu. Enter your domain name (example.com) and paste the EPP/Auth code in the form. Click Add to Cart to continue.
Step 4: Checkout and Pay for Transfer #
Proceed to checkout and pay for the domain transfer. The great news is that when you transfer a domain to SNBD HOST, your domain registration is extended by one additional year (except for some restricted TLDs).
Step 5: Approve Transfer and Wait #
Once the transfer is initiated, youāll receive an email from your old registrar asking you to approve the transfer. Click on the confirmation link to allow the process. After approval, the transfer usually takes 5ā7 days to complete. During this period, your website and email services will continue working without interruption.
